(Senior) Product Development Specialist – Unsecured Credit Products

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam | Partnership | Full-time

Apply

Trusting Social is building mass-market credit products that are accessible, responsible, and scalable. We are looking for a (Senior) Product Developement Specialist to work closely with the Product Manager in driving research, development, monitoring, and continuous improvement of unsecured cash loan/installment products.

This role focuses on improving end-to-end lending product performance, generating data-driven initiatives, and enhancing customer lifetime profitability — while maintaining affordable pricing for the mass segment and balancing growth, risk, and unit economics.

What You'll Do

1. Product Discovery & Research

  • Conduct focused market, competitors research and customer interview to identify high-impact opportunities for unsecured cash loan/installment products.
  • Understand key drivers across pricing, approval logic, customer experience, and monetization.
  • Define target segments (mass/upper-mass), customer needs, use-cases, and key adoption barriers.
  • Convert insights into clear business cases: demand and penetration potential, unit economics, growth–risk trade-offs and rollout hypotheses.

2. Product Design & Development

  • Define core unsecured credit product: including eligibility criteria, credit limits, tenors, repayment structures, pricing/fees, disbursement flow, and customer communication framework.
  • Translate product design into clear product documentation — PRDs, business rules, user journeys, and experiment specs.
  • Work with Risk/Credit, Data Science, Engineering, Ops, Compliance, Collections, and Partnerships to deliver features and improvements from concept to successful launch.

3. Monitoring, Insights & Optimization

  • Own end-to-end lending KPIs, including conversion rate, disbursement, utilization, repayment, risk (FPD/DPD, roll rates, loss, fraud), and unit economics (profit margin, CAC/LTV).
  • Drive root-cause analysis for funnel drop-offs, risk drift, fraud patterns, or operational bottlenecks; implement fixes with measurable outcomes.
  • Run test-and-learn cycles (A/B testing, cohort analysis,  … ) to optimize pricing, limits, underwriting, and customer experience.

4. Execution Reliability & Cross-functional Governance

  • Plan releases and coordinate UAT, rollout, incident response, and post-launch reviews.
  • Ensure operational readiness: SOP alignment, exception handling, customer support playbooks, and compliance checks.
  • Provide clear weekly/monthly performance updates and decision memos for leadership.

How This Role Reflects Our Core Values

Extreme Ownership

  • You take full responsibility for the health of assigned products, not just individual tasks.
  • You proactively identify issues, drive them to resolution, and follow through until outcomes improve.

Insight Driven

  • You rely on data and evidence to prioritize problems and propose improvements.
  • You are comfortable working with numbers, trends, and root-cause analysis—not just anecdotes.

Mindfulness

  • You communicate clearly and calmly across teams, especially during incidents.
  • You listen carefully to partners, customers, and internal teams to understand real constraints before acting.

Audacity

  • You challenge inefficient processes and outdated assumptions.
  • You are willing to propose better ways of working, experiment with improvements, and learn from failures.

What We're Looking For

  • 2–5+ years of experience in lending product/fintech product/consumer  finance, with hands-on exposure to unsecured cash loan or installment products.
  • Strong analytical skills: KPI design, funnel/cohort analysis, unit economics; strong Excel/Sheets; SQL is a must, R/Python is a plus.
  • Ability to write clear PRDs and translate business/risk needs into actionable requirements.
  • Strong cross-functional execution with Engineering, Risk, DS, Ops, Compliance, Collections, and external partners.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity; bias to action; high accountability.

Nice to have

  • Experience with underwriting/policy design, pricing optimization, credit lifecycle management, fraud prevention, or collections strategy.
  • Experience scaling products through partner distribution or embedded finance channels.

Growth Path

This role can progress into:

  • Associate Product Manager / Product Manager
  • Product Strategy Associate – Lending
  • Product Strategy / Credit Growth

Growth is driven by ownership, insight quality, and measurable impact—not tenure.

What We Offer

Join our vibrant team and enjoy:
  • Competitive compensation package, including 13th-month salary and performance bonuses
  • Comprehensive health care coverage for you and your dependents
  • Generous leave policies, including annual leave, sick leave, and flexible work hours
  • Convenient central district 1 office location, next to a future metro station
  • Onsite lunch with multiple options, including vegetarian
  • Grab for work allowance and fully equipped workstations
  • Fun and engaging team building activities, sponsored sports clubs, and happy hour every Thursday
  • Unlimited free coffee, tea, snacks, and fruit to keep you energized
  • An opportunity to make a social impact by helping to democratize credit access in emerging markets
