How You’ll Make an Impact

The Credit Insight team sits at the intersection of finance and frontier AI — building the models and systems that determine credit access for millions of consumers across emerging markets. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will own the full ML engineering lifecycle: from designing scalable training pipelines and feature systems to deploying production-grade models that directly impact credit scoring, fraud detection, and profit optimization. You work alongside world-class data scientists and engineers, turning research into real-world impact at scale.

This role is for someone who does not wait to be handed a problem — you bring a point of view, run experiments before being asked, and build from evidence rather than assumption. You challenge conventional modeling approaches when the data tells you to, and you synthesize signals across credit, behavior, and product domains to surface insights others miss. You are intentional in how you communicate findings — aware that a model recommendation can shape millions of financial decisions — and you continuously raise the bar for what good looks like on the team.

What You’ll Do

ML Model Development & Ownership

• Own end-to-end design, development, and deployment of ML models for credit scoring, fraud detection, profit optimization, and AGI-powered features.
• Drive iterative model improvement by building structured feedback loops from production signals and user behavior data.

AGI Agent Development

• Build and customize AGI agents aligned to specific credit and business objectives, taking full accountability for their performance outcomes.
• Design and own comprehensive evaluation frameworks to assess agent quality, effectiveness, and real-world impact — catching drift early and maintaining above-threshold performance.

Model Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

• Monitor deployed models and agent systems in production — tracking performance metrics, detecting data drift, and triggering retraining cycles before quality degrades.
• Build tooling and dashboards that surface model health and evaluation signals, translating technical metrics into actionable business findings.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate ambiguous business challenges into well-scoped ML problems.
• Communicate model logic and results clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences — making the complex accessible without losing rigor.

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Background

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a machine learning engineering, software engineering, or applied ML role within IT, Computer Science, Banking, or Finance.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying ML systems end-to-end: training pipelines, model serving, feature stores, and monitoring infrastructure.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: clean code, system design, version control, and CI/CD for ML workflows.
• Familiarity with unsecured personal loans, credit cards, or other bank-related financial products is a strong plus.
• Experience with big data processing frameworks (Spark, Hive, etc.) is a plus.
• Startup or fast-paced tech environment background is a strong plus.

Skills & Competencies

• AI Engineer/Architect — You ship end-to-end ML systems with the full stack: training pipelines, serving infrastructure, feature stores, and agent integrations. You don’t hand off to someone else to productionize.
• AI Operator — You keep deployed models and agent systems above quality threshold at target cost. You catch drift early, build monitoring that surfaces real signals, and act before degradation becomes a business problem.
• Strong English communication skills (spoken and written — professional fluency required).
• High adaptability and comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
