Trusting Social is an AI Fintech pioneer that's revolutionizing credit access in emerging markets. Our mission is "Advancing AI to Meet the Financial Needs of Everyday Consumers with Empathy."
Are you a product visionary with a deep understanding of Voice AI and a passion for creating seamless, intelligent user experiences? Do you have an innate customer empathy and a drive to solve complex problems from first principles? If you're ready to take extreme ownership and shape the future of voice technology, we want you on our team!
How you will make an impact in this role
As a Product Specialist, you will be the critical link between product intent and technical execution—turning high-level requirements into clear, buildable, testable specifications that engineering teams can deliver with confidence. You’ll ensure features launched across all Sophia deployments are not only shipped on time, but also measurable and impactful, using data to validate outcomes and inform what we build next. Your technical insight will help the Product Manager spot opportunities earlier, reduce delivery risk, and accelerate learning through better instrumentation and KPI tracking.
What you will do
Translate product requirements into detailed technical specifications
- Break down PM inputs into user stories, workflows, edge cases, and non-functional requirements
- Define acceptance criteria, dependencies, and implementation notes that eliminate ambiguity
Own feature readiness from “idea” to “build-ready”
- Run discovery with engineering to confirm feasibility, scope, and trade-offs
- Create clear deliverables: PRDs/FRDs, technical requirements, API/event needs, and test scenarios (flexible based on each feature)
Proactively propose new features and improvements based on technical insights
- Identify platform capabilities, reusable components, and architectural opportunities
- Recommend scalable solutions that improve performance, reliability, or user experience
Collaborate closely with engineering, QA, and stakeholders to ship
- Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and delivery coordination
- Clarify requirements during development and manage changes with structured documentation
Measure feature impact and turn outcomes into next actions
- Define success metrics and instrumentation requirements (events, dashboards, tracking plans)
- Analyze post-release performance and provide insights on KPI impact, adoption, and quality
Drive continuous improvement in delivery quality
- Improve spec quality standards, documentation templates, and requirement review processes
- Reduce rework by anticipating edge cases and aligning early with technical constraints
What you will need to have
Core qualifications
- Proven experience in a role bridging product and engineering (e.g., Product Specialist, Technical Product Analyst, Business Analyst, Product Ops, Technical PM, or similar)
- Solid technical understanding of software delivery concepts (APIs, databases, system constraints, integrations, release cycles)
- Hands-on experience working with engineering teams in Agile/Scrum environments (sprint planning, grooming, backlog refinement)
- Strong analytical skills to measure impact—comfortable with defining KPIs, interpreting data, and validating outcomes (e.g., funnels, adoption, conversion, retention, performance)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills—able to align PM, engineering, QA, and business teams with clarity and pragmatism
- High ownership mindset: you anticipate risks, unblock teams, and push initiatives forward without losing attention to detail
Tools & working skills (preferred/expected familiarity)
- Requirements & delivery tools: Jira, Confluence, or equivalent
- Data & measurement: dashboards/BI tools and event tracking concepts (e.g., GA, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Looker, Metabase—any is fine)
- Documentation discipline: ability to create consistent templates, manage versions, and keep specs current
Nice to have
- Experience with A/B testing or experimentation design
- Experience supporting multi-deployment or multi-market product rollouts (similar to “Sophia deployments”)
- Background in QA/test planning, UAT coordination, or defining test cases for complex features
